During this season’s player transfers, I found myself questioning my own worth. What value does man place on my life? Society seems to have a pretty strong influence on telling us our worth. As the presidential election is starting, different candidates are telling me how valuable my vote is to them. I receive multiple credit card offers weekly telling me how much I’m worth to them. My current job has a salary informing me on my worth. My three amazing boys even show me how much I’m worth when they spread their arms as far apart as possible and say, “I love you this much!” People spend many hours a day contemplating their worth and how valuable they are to society.
