What a bizarre story.
After Washington St. upset Washington on Friday, Washington’s star tight end, Austin Seferian-Jenkins was walking off the field when a fan punched him. You can see the video below from the :11-:13 mark (look toward the bottom-middle, Austin is in white and is decked by a fan in dark clothes).
What was the player’s response?
Seferian-Jenkins did not comment on the incident following the game, but he tweeted the following message:
“I prayed for that man that struck me. He must have some issues.”
Wow. What a humbling tweet. What would your response have been?
