I recently came across this event on competition and since that’s a popular topic here on the blog and with our ministry, I thought I would share it with everyone. Here’s a brief description of the event:
The Malone University Worldview Forum Series will present the next installment of its Worldview Forum series, The Competitive Edge: The Role of Christians in Sport, Tuesday, January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton. The program – which will take a biblical look at the topic of competition and sport — is free and open to the public. Proponents include Shirl Hoffman, Ph.D., professor emeritus of exercise and sport science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; and Greg Linville, D.Min., assistant professor of sports and youth ministry at Malone University. Moderator will be Todd Blackledge, broadcast television football analyst for ABC, CBS, and currently, ESPN.
