Sports ministers: Do you have a mission statement for your ministry?
If so, can your coaches and volunteers recite it? Do they know what it is? Do they believe in it? Do they follow it? Does it inspire them?
If not, why don’t you? Do you think it’s silly? How do you measure success without knowing what you are trying to accomplish? Without a mission, what keeps people connected to the cause?*
The picture on the right is for Chick-fil-a. Their mission is: To glorify God by being a faithful steward to all he has entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-a.
I’ve never worked at Chick-fil-a before but I believe they work very hard at accomplishing their mission.
