In what seems to be escalating violence against soccer referees, the latest example of this significant problem happened in the Liga Regional del Sud championship game according to Bleacher Report (To see the whole article, click here.)
The violence occurred after several red cards appeared to have been issued – the first to a player who took down an opposing player. That first player walked away from the ref but a teammate ran to the referee to object and received the second red card. At that point, four or five other team members charged the referee with one of the players jump kicking the referee in the face.
Police quickly arrived and the game appears to be called off before the violence escalated further.

Therefore, we keep reminding ourselves and you so our longing stays intense.
Something needs to happen to reverse this brokenness and the impact it has – on every sport, at every level.
