I found this short video below from John Piper as a good reminder. “It’s the job of a leader to over and over again articulate the vision…” This doesn’t just apply to pastors. It is just as important for the sports minister, sports pastor, or sports ministry director to communicate the vision.
In speaking about that need for articulation, that implies that the ministry and the leader have such a vision to articulate. However, as we talk to sports ministries in local churches, often such a vision doesn’t exist. One of the ways we work with sports ministries in local churches is by helping them develop such a vision.
